The distinctive background of expert educator and color visionaire Richy Kandasamy, stems from extensive training and a global point of view. A native of the tropical Seychelles islands, Kandasamy is inspired by exotic color palettes and universal hair textures.

In a journey that spans the globe and the course of 20+ years, Kandasamy has acquired a vast knowledge and disciplined mastery of color technique, trend forecasting, product development, education, training and sales.

Kandasamy has colored the globe and spread his wealth of knowledge vastly throughout his career; serving as technical creative director for TIGI Italy, then transitioning into the role in the United Kingdom and ultimately America. Richy has headlined shows and seminars throughout Europe and Asia, continuing into North and South America.

In 2017, venturing out on his own, Kandasamy launched his haircare line — RIKOKO, a boutique collection of color-smart products based on exotic ingredients and ancient rituals for his homeland Seychelles.

Continuing to push the boundaries of professional haircare, Kandasamy’s most recent venture is his education platform — ROOTS which focuses on bespoke color education concentrating on technique, artistry and returning to the “roots” of professional hairdressing.
